Sheet Metal Fabricator & Commercial Venting Installer

Treat's is hiring Sheet Metal Fabricators and Commercial Venting Installers at all levels, from helpers to leads. This work is core to our Auburn Sheet Metal heritage. You will fabricate ductwork and sheet metal in our shop and install commercial HVAC venting and ductwork in the field.

Don't let our Enumclaw location stop you from applying. We have trusted employees who live as far as Lakewood and report directly to job sites in Seattle, North Bend, Puyallup, and throughout South King and Pierce Counties. A weekly check-in at our Enumclaw office is required, but day to day you work where the work is.

• Fabricate ductwork, fittings, and sheet metal components in the shop
• Read and work from plans and shop drawings
• Install commercial HVAC venting and ductwork on the job site
• Operate shop equipment such as brakes, shears, and rollers safely and accurately
• Coordinate with the install crews and represent Treat's professionally on every job site

You like making things with your hands and seeing them hold. Turning a shop drawing into a clean duct run on a brake and shear is satisfying work, and you take pride in a fitting that lands right the first time. You want variety: some shop, some field, not one motion for eight hours straight. This work is the original heart of Treat's, going back to Auburn Sheet Metal in 1973, and that heritage means something to you. Levels & What We're Looking For

• Helpers: mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn the trade
• Fabricators and Installers: sheet metal fabrication and/or commercial duct and venting installation experience
• Leads: proven fabrication or venting installation experience plus the ability to run the shop or a job site

We reimburse licensing and certification costs and provide continuing education, so the right helper can grow into a skilled fabricator or installer.

Pay Range
$25.00 to $70.00 per hour, depending on level, experience, and certifications.

• Helper: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
• Fabricator / Installer: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
• Lead: $50.00 to $70.00 per hour

Basic Requirements

• Valid driver's license and insurable
• Physically able to perform the job for which you are applying
• Hand tools appropriate to your skill set. Loaner tools are available, and we may be able to purchase them for you with small repayments from your paycheck
• Basic computer skills for your position, including email, smartphone, and iPad
• Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude on every job site
